Which devices does tvusage support?
tvusage supports Google TV and Android TV devices, plus Android phones and tablets. Device features can vary by manufacturer and Android version.
How do I set up tvusage?
Install tvusage from Google Play on the child’s device, follow the in-app consent and permission steps, create a parent PIN, add a profile, and choose the limits or schedules you want to use.
How does the free trial work?
New users can start with a free trial to evaluate the available controls before deciding whether to continue. Current trial details are shown in the app; this website does not list prices.
Can I manage profiles remotely?
Yes. Multiple child profiles can stay synchronized when you choose to enable tvusage remote. You can then review usage and update controls from a separate Android device or the web remote.
Why does tvusage need Accessibility Service permission?
The Accessibility Service detects which app is currently in the foreground so tvusage can enforce app blocking and time limits in real time. It does not read or collect the content displayed within apps.
Why is there a persistent notification?
The visible notification identifies that tvusage is running and monitoring app usage. It remains visible while monitoring is active so the device user is aware.
How does tvusage handle privacy and data?
Usage data is processed locally unless remote management is enabled. The privacy policy explains what is collected, why it is used, third-party services, retention, deletion, and security in full.
What other Android permissions are required?
Depending on the controls used, tvusage may request Usage Stats Access, Display Over Other Apps, Foreground Service, Internet Access, Boot Completed, and optional battery optimization exclusion. Each permission supports a specific monitoring or enforcement function.
